Description:

Tallulah V. Lang, a 30 year old single clerk in the Census Bureau, asks President Roosevelt to arrange a meeting between her and "some refined intelligent gentleman" who could be her "happy companion for life."  Miss Lang fears she may lose her job and hopes that Roosevelt might "assist her to a good situation."
