Krystal Thomas here, digital library coordinator and archivist for the Theodore Roosevelt Center for the past two and a half years. We don’t often introduce ourselves on the blog so it is that the day I introduce myself is the last day I’ll be writing for the blog! I will be leaving the Theodore Roosevelt Center tomorrow for a new adventure in Florida. I cannot express how much I will miss my work here at the TR Center. I learned so much from this project and am incredibly proud of what we have been able to achieve in the time I have been here. I first came to Dickinson fresh out of graduate school and could not have asked for a better experience for my first time out on my own. I’d like to thank the staff of the TR Center and of Dickinson State University for their help and support in my work.
It is time to hand the reins of this blog to the new digital library coordinator, Keri Youngstrand. Keri comes to us from the library staff here at Dickinson State University and I know she will make a wonderful addition to the Theodore Roosevelt Center and continue to grow this project over the coming years. Take it away Keri!
As Krystal mentioned, my name is Keri Youngstrand, and I am taking her position as digital library coordinator at the Theodore Roosevelt Center. Like Krystal, I am coming to this position straight out of library school, having just completed my MLIS earlier this summer. Having been raised in the badlands of North Dakota where Theodore Roosevelt made his mark, I find the work at the Theodore Roosevelt Center to be fascinating. Krystal did a fantastic job of setting the foundation for this project, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue her vision.
