Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Anna Roosevelt

Description:

Theodore Roosevelt tells his sister Anna Roosevelt that wife Edith and sister Corinne were relieved to hear from Bob. Roosevelt, Edith, Kermit, and Alice went to Orange, New Jersey, to visit Corinne. Alice will have to wear ankle braces and he's worried because Edith isn't looking well. He has been busy with lunches and dinners at the Boone and Crockett Club.

Governor Roosevelt informs Frederick William Holls that the Scenic Society, most likely referring to the American Scenic and Historic Preservation Society, is attacking him for the appointments he made to the Palisades Interstate Park Commission. The society wanted to him to appoint Andrew H. Green, who Roosevelt believes incompetent, and Joseph Lamb and Devoe. He would like Holls to write a letter to different newspapers noting the qualifications of each member Roosevelt appointed to the commission.
