Cataloging processes continue at the Theodore Roosevelt Center. Staff members are making progress on cataloging items related to the first term of President Roosevelt's presidency. Interns also continue to work this month. They are cataloging items in the Library of Congress Collection and focusing on metadata review. One intern is scanning and creating metadata for TR related items at the Arizona Historical Society in Tucson. Copyright review continues on items that TR himself wrote, providing good material for our Quote of the Day.
In August, items from the Arizona Historical Society will be published. Initial research trips to the Lilly Library at Indiana University and the Indiana Historical Society were also completed.
As of the end of July 2015, we have 48,563 items cataloged. Of this number, 38,787 items have been reviewed for accuracy and completeness, and 31,984 have gone through copyright review. There are now 29,877 items available for use in the Theodore Roosevelt Digital Library.
