“The equation of personal taste is as powerful in reading as in eating; and within certain broad limits the matter is merely one of individual preference, having nothing to do with the quality either of the book or of the reader’s mind.”
~~ Theodore Roosevelt ~~

Theodore Roosevelt was the writingest President in American history, with more than thirty-five books to his credit, and he was quite possibly the readingest President. He certainly belongs on the Mount Rushmore of Presidential readers, along with Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, and John Quincy Adams.

Roosevelt’s life and career have been the subject of countless books and articles. As the 150th anniversary of his birth approaches, there is a general acceleration of publications on Roosevelt. We have compiled several reading lists for your use, listed according to the general subject matter.
