Dickinson State University has undertaken to obtain digitized copies of most of or all of the writings of Theodore Roosevelt. The bulk of the Roosevelt papers exist in two repositories: the Library of Congress and the Houghton Library at Harvard University.
Our goal is to make Roosevelt’s papers available to scholars, citizens, students, and tourists of all ages.
Because of the enormity of this undertaking, we intend to introduce the TR papers in phases.
For the moment, we are providing a sampling of TR documents, digitized by our staff from the microfilm collection of the TR papers.
Our first serious digitization phase is underway, and we hope to have a substantial percentage of the Library of Congress collection digitized by the end of 2008.
Welcome. Enjoy. And stay tuned!
