Description:

Theodore Roosevelt has received his books and packages. He is not pleased with the food and intends to join a "table with some of the Boston men." Roosevelt has also paid the next half year's rent. He provides a sketch of his room and outlines his schedule. He recently purchased his winter clothing, except for an afternoon coat, and has been wearing his mother's slippers.

Theodore Roosevelt hopes that Martha Bulloch Roosevelt is feeling better and inquires what winter clothing he has in New York. He describes the men in the photograph for Corinne Roosevelt; they include Gorham Peters, Charles Washburn, and Charles Ware. Roosevelt's horse is in "beautiful trim" if a bit shaggy looking. He has been riding often to Chestnut Hill and visited Jamaica Plain with Minot Weld.
