Recognizing the success of the Theodore Roosevelt Center's work, the North Dakota State Legislature initiated the development and construction of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library during the 2013 legislative session. Provided $3 million was raised from non-state funds, the state would provide an additional $12 million towards construction of such a facility. The City of Dickinson provided the $3 million to meet the challenge, and the project is underway.
The Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library Foundation, an independent nonprofit (501c3), has been established to develop and oversee the project. To follow their progress, visit www.trpresidentiallibrary.org.
