Theodore Roosevelt Center hosts meeting of TR Sites in North Dakota

Wednesday, June 29, 2011

Theodore Roosevelt National Park is the best known destination in North Dakota dedicated to the 26th president. Less well known sites related to Roosevelt include Sullys Hill National Game Preserve, set aside as a national park during his presidency and later re-designated a game preserve, and Chase Lake and Stump Lake National Wildlife Refuges. At the invitation of the Theodore Roosevelt Center, representatives of these sites met at Sullys Hill near Devils Lake, North Dakota, to discuss cooperative efforts to increase the understanding of Theodore Roosevelt's impact in North Dakota. The TR Center will be digitizing materials from each of the sites for inclusion in the Theodore Roosevelt Digital Library and assisting in other initiatives to strengthen cooperation between the sites.
