Cataloging processes continue at the Theodore Roosevelt Center. Staff members are making progress on cataloging items related to the first term of President Roosevelt's presidency. Summer Interns also completed work this month. They cataloged items in the Library of Congress Collection and focused on metadata review. One special project intern is scanning and creating metadata for TR related items at the Arizona Historical Society in Tucson. Copyright review continues on items that TR himself wrote, providing good material for our Quote of the Day.
Items from the Arizona Historical Society continue to be published, including items related to Mount Rushmore and the history of the Rough Riders. Scanning of items at the State Historical Society in Bismarck will be completed this fall.
As of the end of August 2015, we have 49,290 items cataloged. Of this number, 40,917 items have been reviewed for accuracy and completeness, and 32,677 have gone through copyright review. There are now 30,527 items available for use in the Theodore Roosevelt Digital Library.
