Once again our interns helped us to make great progress on our collections in July. This month alone, we were able to publish over 1,700 items to the digital library from the Library of Congress Manuscript collection. Also, the Theodore Roosevelt Park collection has been getting a great deal of attention, and another 200 items have been published to the digital library from that collection. We are nearing 15,000 items on our digital library, and the proximity of that number is due to the dedication of our summer interns.
As of August 1, 19,695 items have been through metadata review, and of those items 16,460 have been through copyright review. 14,807 items have been published to the digital library, a number which increases every week as we update our website. We continue to work in the early Progressive years from 1911-1912 as well as some items of more local interest.
Our volunteers continue to work on another of our cataloging priorities, Roosevelt’s years in the White House, by cataloging original items in the 1906-1907 calendar years.
