We are excited to announce that we will be receiving new documents from the Theodore Roosevelt Birthplace sooner than expected. Look for new documents in this collection hopefully by the end of the month!
13,650 items have been pushed through metadata review as of the end of February, and 11,225 of those items have gone through copyright review. Because of staff obligations and events on campus, we did not make as much forward progress in these areas as we have in the past months. New items passed into the digital library mostly from the Library of Congress Manuscript Division, Harvard College Library, and Theodore Roosevelt National Park collections.
The digital library now holds over 10,000 items! We passed the 10,000 mark about the middle of February. It was an exciting mile marker for the digital library and we hope to be able to keep up our pace.
Our staff is continuing to focus on metadata and copyright review of already cataloged materials as our volunteers work on cataloging new materials. Metadata review is currently in incoming correspondence of 1903 in the Library of Congress papers. Copyright review for that collection has moved into the incoming correspondence of 1902 and 1903. Metadata and copyright review is also ongoing in the Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Sagamore Hill National Historic Site, and Harvard College Library collections.
